Amandeep has over 13 years of experience in advising funds, including alternative investment funds (AIFs), financial institutions, startups and other corporates on investments, exits, joint ventures and general corporate & regulatory matters. His experience includes advising foreign funds on exiting/ restructuring their investments in India.
Having worked as both in-house counsel as well as in a law firm, Amandeep is skilled in drafting, negotiations & stakeholder management with the ability to establish strong relationships with partners and build consensus across multiple organizational levels.
Prior to joining Dua Associates, Amandeep worked as the Chief of Staff at Goldman Sachs, India; Senior Legal at HDFC Capital, one of the largest alternate investment managers in the Indian real estate sector; in the General Corporate practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and with Bank of America Merrill Lynch on secondment. At HDFC Capital, Amandeep structured and advised on various investments (debt/equity), joint ventures and exits, for projects in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune & Delhi NCR. Amandeep also advised HDFC Capital on investing in startup PropTech companies in India.
